The Government spends Billions of Dollars on Service and Supply Contracts Each Year! Get your Share!
Angelina College Procurement Assistance Center (ACPAC) and Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) Procurement & Property Services organize this event each year. The focus for this event is Disaster Contracting, unlike previous events that were about government contracting in general.
Disasters are classified as natural and man-made. Natural disasters consists of hurricanes, forest fires, tornados, etc. Man-made disasters can consist of fires, terrorist acts, or as recently experienced by the Gulf Coast - BPs oil spill.
During this conference, unlike past events, it will mainly consist of presentations by key agencies that have a Disaster Contracting focus. These agencies are:
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) U. S. Forest Service United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Texas Forest Service
Deep East Texas Contracting Opportunities Exposition (EXPO) - Disaster Contracting: this is designed to offer an opportunity for businesses and manufacturers to provide information on the products and services that they can provide as they visit with Federal, State, and Local Government Agencies and prime contractors on a one to one basis. Additionally, presentations will be made by agencies on Federal Business Programs and Texas Contracting Opportunities.

Veterans to Business: provides information to Veteran business owners on the programs and resources available to them for those wanting to do business with the Federal, State, and Local government.
Wednesday, May 11th, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
How to File for Veteran Benefits: provides information to Veterans on how to Get Around to It and file for Veteran Benefits. This will include Federal and State benefits.
Wednesday, May 11th, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Texas Veterans Land Board (TVLB): this is a workshop to discuss the benefits provided to Veterans by the TVLB to include the Housing Loan Program, Home Improvement Loan Program, Land Loan Program, State Veterans Homes, and State Veterans Cemeteries.
